And this post is very informative! I get so pissed when I hear people talking about going to a breeder because they "don't want a shelter dog." There is NOTHING wrong with shelter dogs! They're only in there because of the stupid people that neglect them. Look at Cooper. He is a fabulous dog. And my parents' last dog, Lightning, was from a shelter, and he was one of the smartest, sweetest, most obedient dogs I've ever seen. It's important to let these people know that they should be going to shelters first! Then again... what happens to the dogs that the breeders can't sell? It's a vicious cycle.
